Chardonnay

Our 2018 Chardonnay will be released in Spring 2019

The Dry River Chardonnay is based on the Mendoza clone and is produced in a way that offers concentration, purity of flavour and added complexity of oak.  Vines are planted on the ‘Dry River Estate’ and ‘Craighall’ vineyards.  We tend to not favour malo-lactic fermentation aiming to preserve acidity as a stylistic choice and to help with aging.  Our Chardonnay tends to be tightly wound as a young wine but unfurls in the bottle over time.  Our Chardonnay is not a ‘statement’ type of wine, many Chardonnay wines are, rather we rely on exceptional fruit as the prominent feature of our wine.
